Member Agreement & Community Commitments

Effective September 2, 2026  |  Version 1.0

Welcome to Community Cultivator

We are building a community where military spouses can find connection, opportunity, encouragement, and belonging. Members may share personal experiences, career information, resources, opportunities, and professional connections, so protecting trust matters. These shared expectations help us care for one another and safeguard the community we are building together.

Community Cultivator is a trusted, curated membership where every member helps shape the experience. Membership offers meaningful access and a shared responsibility to protect the trust that makes this community possible.

1. Membership

This Agreement is between Community Cultivator ("CC," "we," or "our") and you as a member. By checking the required box and submitting your account request, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to it.

Membership is voluntary, personal, and subject to CC's eligibility and approval requirements. You must be at least 18, provide accurate registration information, protect your account credentials, and not share or transfer your account. Membership may include community spaces, communications, events, networking, educational resources, professional development, referrals, and partner resources. Offerings may change as CC grows, and membership does not guarantee access to any particular benefit or event.

2. How We Care for Our Community

Every member contributes to our culture. As a member, you agree to:

  • Lead with kindness, empathy, patience, and generosity.

  • Be respectful and inclusive of different backgrounds, identities, experiences, and perspectives.

  • Be professional and honest. Represent yourself accurately and communicate responsibly.

  • Protect privacy, personal boundaries, and information shared in confidence.

  • Celebrate others, contribute thoughtfully, and approach misunderstandings with curiosity and accountability.

  • Follow reasonable guidance from CC staff, volunteers, moderators, event hosts, and venues.

Conduct that may result in restrictions, suspension, or removal includes harassment, threats, bullying, discrimination, hate speech, fraud, impersonation, repeated unwanted contact, unlawful activity, disruptive behavior, and conduct that compromises the safety or trust of the community. Unsolicited advertising, spam, excessive self-promotion, unauthorized solicitation, and pressure-based recruiting or sales are also prohibited.

3. Privacy and Member Information

Do not record, screenshot, reproduce, forward, publish, disclose, or use another member's nonpublic information without permission. Member directories, contact details, discussions, and participation information may be used only for genuine community connection. They may not be scraped, compiled, sold, published, or used for unauthorized marketing, recruiting, solicitation, or commercial activity.

You may share your own information, use information already lawfully public, report misconduct or safety concerns, comply with legal obligations, and seek confidential professional advice. CC cannot guarantee that every member will honor confidentiality, so please use good judgment before sharing sensitive information.

4. Resources, Content, and Responsible AI Use

Share opportunities generously and respect ownership faithfully. When sharing another person's or organization's work, use the original source when possible, preserve its context, give credit, and retain its branding and notices. Obtain permission before modifying, translating, rebranding, or republishing it. Do not imply an endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or authority that has not been established.

CC owns its original branding, recordings, presentations, templates, guides, directories, frameworks, website content, and member-only resources ("CC Materials"). You may use them for your personal, noncommercial participation. Unless CC identifies material as shareable or gives permission, do not sell, distribute, rebrand, commercially exploit, provide it to nonmembers, or use it to create a competing product, program, database, training, or membership community. You retain ownership of your original work. Content you voluntarily submit may be displayed or shared by CC as reasonably needed for the community activity where you submitted it.

AI tools, including note-taking and productivity tools, may be used for appropriate personal and professional purposes as long as confidential, proprietary, and other nonpublic information remains protected. Do not upload, train on, reproduce, or repurpose member-only materials, nonpublic discussions, or proprietary resources without authorization.

5. Events, Photos, and Recordings

CC activities may be photographed or recorded when reasonable notice is provided. Incidental images may be used for educational, archival, communications, promotional, fundraising, or community-building purposes. When practicable, we will provide a way to opt out of identifiable promotional use. Notify CC or the photographer before or at the activity. CC will not use your name, story, testimonial, or image in a way that falsely implies endorsement or materially misrepresents you. Members must get permission before recording or publicly sharing identifiable information about others.

6. Vetted Resources, Referrals, and Outcomes

CC connects members with employers, organizations, programs, resources, events, volunteer opportunities, mentors, and other members. Some may be identified as vetted, recommended, featured, or provided by a CC partner based on information reasonably available when reviewed. These designations do not guarantee that an opportunity, resource, organization, or individual will meet every member's needs.

CC may make introductions or referrals and track applications, interviews, placements, participation, and other outcomes to measure impact and improve services. A referral does not guarantee an interview, offer, placement, promotion, contract, funding, partnership, or other result. CC does not make an employer's or organization's selection decisions and is not a party to agreements resulting from a referral. Members remain responsible for evaluating opportunities, protecting their information, and reviewing any resulting terms. CC is not responsible for later changes or for the independent actions or performance of members or third parties.

CC provides community-building, networking, referral, educational, and informational services. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, mental health, tax, investment, or other regulated professional advice. Views shared by members, speakers, volunteers, partners, employers, and other contributors are their own.

7. Participation and CC's Responsibility

We want members to participate with confidence while recognizing that events, third-party resources, and community connections can involve circumstances outside CC's control. Participation is voluntary, and you accept the ordinary risks of attending activities, interacting with others, sharing information, using third-party platforms, and acting on opportunities.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CC and its owners, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, representatives, sponsors, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages related to membership, third-party conduct, lost opportunities or income, reputational harm, data loss, or interrupted services. CC's total liability will not exceed what you paid CC for membership during the prior 12 months or, for free membership, $100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

8. Concerns and Membership Administration

Report concerns to membership@communitycultivator.co. We will review reports thoughtfully and as confidentially as circumstances reasonably allow. CC may use coaching, warnings, content removal, restrictions, suspension, event exclusion, or termination to address violations and protect the community. Immediate action may be taken for safety concerns, serious breaches of trust, legal exposure, or material harm. Either you or CC may end the membership relationship at any time. Confidentiality, intellectual property, member-information, and liability obligations continue when applicable.

CC may update this Agreement as its programs, technology, laws, or community needs evolve. Material changes will be communicated, and CC may require renewed acceptance. This Agreement does not create an employment, partnership, joint venture, agency, or fiduciary relationship, and members may not speak for or bind CC without written authorization. If one provision is unenforceable, the others remain effective.

California law governs this Agreement. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, legal proceedings must be brought in San Diego County, California. Questions, permission requests, photo opt-outs, and concerns may be sent to membership@communitycultivator.co. Visit https://communitycultivator.co.
